Michael Jackson is Dead!

I did not believe this at first, as Michael was known for his publicity stunts, and it sounds like a lot of people did not believe this at first, but the L.A. coroner just confirmed it, Michael Jackson has died. Not to be too self indulgent, but now I really feel old, as Michael Jackson was a large part of my childhood, and not in the bad way. I remeber in the third or fourth grade, we did Thriller as our class play. I remember parachute pants and moon walking. I remember Billie Jean, Say Say Say, Thriller, and Beat It. I remember We Are the World, and a simpler time. Now that I think back to my childhood, the jaded adult that I have become really hopes that Michael was not guilty of child molestation charges, but the jaded adult still can’t understand why all of these people flock to the hospital and outside the Neverland Ranch, and the people who are being interviewed who didn’t know Michael, and are crying uncontollably, that is something the jaded adult in me will never get, but at least the kid in me can find a way to say rest in peace, Kindg of Pop,

In death people like Michael seem to be remembered for the good they did. He was a very sad person who happened to be extremely talented. It is a shame that he died so young….but interestingly Anderson Cooper and others are saying they can’t imagine Michael Jackson at 80!! He will always be a childlike man. What a shame for Farrah Fawcett. It has sooo overshadowed her death today.

A sad day, but I wouldn’t classify Farrah as a brilliant entertainer. No one ever moved like Michael Jackson. He was definitely a bizarre individual, but he did a lot more good than he did bad. Hopefully the molestation was not true, but I doubt it. I just heard his parents are still alive.

Your comments on Micheal were very interesting and a nice eulogy. Farrah Fawcett might not be Micheal but she was a strong perosn who suffered a long time. What a shame. guess money is not everything. What are nash’s thoughts on this?

I think Nash just got sick of me watching all the Michael Jackson coverage. The press was camped out in my old neighborhood in Westwood. Never seems to get too dull there.
